Participants of the creative project “Spheres of Sound”. Ensemble Music for Piano” – laureates of international competitions, talented performers, teachers of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, representatives of the galaxy of classical Belarusian piano school

The piano community includes the duet of the professor of the piano department of the Belarusian State Academy of Music Natalia Sazanovich and senior teacher of the piano department Dmitry Platunov, laureates of the Grand Prix of the III International Piano Competition “Karelia – Belarus”, laureates of international competitions Tatyana Kim and Ivan Kobylchenko.

This concert is the first in the cycle “Spheres of Sound. Ensemble Music for Piano – for 4, 6 and 8 Hands”. The program includes works by the French romantic composer Cesar Franck, Belarusian composer Galina Gorelova. The concert will feature the first performance in Belarus of works by the Russian composer of the 20th century Valery Gavrilin from the cycle “Six Pieces of Different Years”, “Twelve Character Pieces on One Theme”. The premiere of the concert is a piece specially written for a piano duet, “The Magic Castle”, by the famous Belarusian composer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, as well as works for piano in 6 hands by Alina Bezenson (arranged by the author) and “The Magic Lake” by Anatoly Lyadov for two pianos in 8 hands.

The ensemble performance is a special unity of creative energy impulses, enriching the piano with “orchestral” sound and expanding the spatial sphere of Sound.”

The creative project is designed to popularize new works by Belarusian composers, to open little-known pages of ensemble music of past centuries and the present.
